Gareth Southgate is due to meet Marcus Rashford after leaving the Manchester United striker out of his last England squad.
Rashford, without scoring since January 22, has sat out friendlies with Switzerland and the Ivory Coast at Wembley later this month.
“I think it’s important, maybe after this camp, to go and sit down with him and find out a little bit more about what’s going on,” Southgate said.
“We know he’s desperate to get it right.”
Rashford, 24, has scored just five goals in 26 appearances for a struggling United this season.

Earlier this week, a video surfaced on social media showing the player angrily responding to fans following him. United’s exit from the Champions League after a loss at home against Atlético de Madrid.
Rashford denied making a rude gesture at fans with his hands.
“I think Marcus is very realistic,” added Southgate.
“He knows he’s in a situation where he hasn’t been coming into the United team on a consistent basis and he will look as hard as anyone to get that form back.”
Southgate is convinced Rashford, who has scored 59 goals and provided 32 assists in 198 Premier League appearances, will return to the form that saw him make his England debut at the age of 18 in 2016.
“We all believe he can be an asset to his club and to his country,” said Southgate.
“With one or two of our players in the past, who have had problems and overcome them, you can say, ‘look, they overcame that, they responded well and they became stronger and they showed the necessary character.
“That’s what he’s going to have to prove now in the weeks and months to come. Nobody’s career runs smoothly from start to finish and of course his rise from when he first broke into the United squad was truly unbelievable.”
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Southgate said Rashford had a responsibility to “get back to normal”.
“I think a lot of players have periods in their career where they really flow and things go well,” he added.
“So you have other spells where that’s not the case. You have to find a way back.
“I think it is evident that he is in a period where he is not starting regularly for Manchester United and has suffered a bit with his form.
“I think we can talk to him about it and we will, and Manchester United will.
“You know the season has been difficult for him. He had a broken pre-season in terms of preparation which is not useful for a player. Now he has a period where he can go back to training camp and catch up.” speed.
“I’m sure he certainly has the talent to get back on track.”
