Dallas A 25-year-old woman who grew up in North Texas is suing Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, claiming to be her biological father and paying her mother to keep the information secret.

Alexandra Davis says in a lawsuit filed last week in Dallas County that she was arrested over a relationship Jones had with her mother, Cynthia Davis, in the mid-1990s, the Dallas Morning News reported Wednesday.

Davis and her mother reached an agreement in which Jones would support them financially, since they did not publicly recognize him as her father, according to court documents. The hearing is scheduled for March 31, according to court documents.

Alexandra Davis is asking the court to find that she is not legally bound by an agreement between Jones and her mother if she was trying to prove legally that Jones is her father. At the time of the 1998 agreement, Jones denied that he was the father.

The Associated Press was unable to access the documents because they were temporarily sealed pending a hearing on Jones’s proposal to keep them sealed.

CBS Dallas contacted Jones’s personal spokesman, but he declined to comment. Jones spokesman Jim Wilkinson declined to comment to the AP.

Alexandra Davis and her lawyer could not be reached for comment. Her mother declined to comment on the newspaper.

It was unclear why Alexandra Davis filed the lawsuit now, according to Morning News, which added that the lawsuit “raises concerns about her mother’s health”.

The lawsuit alleges that Alexandra Davis feared she would lose Jones’ financial support if she revealed to anyone that he was her father.

The newspaper reports: “The only time she revealed her father’s identity was when she needed to obtain security clearance from the FBI to work for the White House on President Donald Trump, the lawsuit said. He currently works for US MP Ronnie Jackson. A Republican in Amarillo, Texas, according to her LinkedIn profile. “

Jackson was the White House Chief of Staff for parts of the Obama and Trump administrations.

According to court documents, Cynthia Davis was estranged from her husband when she met Jones. He worked as a ticket agent for American Airlines at the airport in Little Rock, Arkansas, according to court documents.

Jones “chased” Cynthia Davis and the couple started a relationship, according to court documents. It is not clear how long the relationship lasted.

Alexandra Davis was born on December 16, 1996 and shortly afterwards, Cynthia Davis and her husband filed for divorce. During the divorce proceedings, it was determined through genetic testing that Alexandra Davis was not the child of Cynthia Davis’s husband. She was not ordered to pay child support when the divorce was finalized and Alexandra Davis did not have a legal father, according to court documents.

After receiving the test results, Cynthia Davis told Jones that he was the biological father of Alexandra Davis, according to the lawsuit. According to court documents, Jones had told Cynthia Davis that she could not have children.

Jones and his wife Jean were married in 1963. They have three children and all have roles in the front office with the Cowboys. Jerry Jones is the president and general manager of the team.

The settlement required a one-time payment of $ 375,000 to Cynthia Davis, and Alexandra Davis was to receive “specific monthly, annual and special funding” from the trusts until she turns 21, according to court documents. Younger Davis also received lump sums when she turned 24, 26 and 28.

The newspaper reported that Alexandra Davis and her mother starred in the last season of a reality show in the Dallas area called “Big Rich Texas”. At the time, representatives of Cynthia Davis said she was living on a trust fund.

Alexandra Davis grew up in the Dallas area and graduated from Southern Methodist University, according to court documents. Jones had contacted Cynthia Davis, but he and Alexandra Davis never met, the lawsuit said.
