England fast bowler Mark Wood has been ruled out for the remainder of the West Indies tour and the Indian Premier League with a right elbow injury.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 32-year-old began to struggle with the injury on the third day of the first test drawn in Antigua.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scans have confirmed a problem and he will go home next week to receive “an expert opinion on the treatment of his injury”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wood was due to play for the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL.<\/span><\/p>\n

He will take an indefinite break from cricket pending the opinion of the elbow specialist.<\/span><\/p>\n

England will decide later whether a replacement will be called up for the third Test, which is due to take place in Granada on March 24-28.<\/span><\/p>\n
