Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold will be out for several weeks with a hamstring problem, manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 23-year-old English defender suffered the injury during Wednesday’s Premier League game <\/span>win at Arsenal.<\/span><\/p>\n

It means he will also miss England’s friendlies against Switzerland and the Ivory Coast next week.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Trent is out with a hamstring so he can’t be a part of England too,” Klopp said. <\/span><\/p>\n

“Not good news, we’ll see how long it takes.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Joe Gomez and veteran James Milner are the likely candidates to replace Alexander-Arnold, but Klopp admits neither possesses the same skills as the England international.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Of course replacing Trent is difficult but possible,” added Klopp, whose team travel to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I don’t know any player who plays like Trent, so it’s hard to find a one-on-one replacement.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We have Milly [Milner]Joe, theoretically we can also change the system, this kind of thing. So we have a couple of options.<\/span><\/p>\n

“When you look at the past, when Milly has had to step up, she’s done incredibly well. And if not, maybe we’ll have a young solution.”<\/span><\/p>\n
