The British television regulator, Ofcom, has revoked the broadcasting license of the Russian state television channel RT (Russia Today).<\/p>\n

Ofcom said that RT’s parent body, ANO TV Novosti, was “not fit and proper to hold a UK broadcast license” and revoked its license with immediate effect. <\/p>\n

BBC media editor Amol Rajan explained the decision and the difference between public and state broadcasting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
