Now accompanied by an American PR executive <\/span><strong data-react>Barbara Charone<\/strong><span data-react>british businessman <\/span><strong data-react>jonathan goldstein<\/strong><span data-react>    and British journalist <\/span><strong data-react>Daniel Finkelstein<\/strong><\/li>\n<li ><span data-react>London-based investment firm <\/span><strong data-react>Aethel Partners<\/strong><span data-react>headed by the Portuguese businessman Ricardo Silva<\/span><\/li>\n<li ><span data-react>British billionaire businessman <\/span><strong data-react>nick candy, <\/strong><span data-react>supported by ex-Chelsea striker <\/span><strong data-react>Gianluca Vialli<\/strong><span data-react>co-owner of Tifosy, a mergers and acquisitions company for the football sector<\/span><\/li>\n<li ><span data-react>turkish billionaire <\/span><strong data-react>muhsin bayrak<\/strong><span data-react>    says he is one of those who have launched a bid<\/span><\/li>\n<li ><span data-react>Other informed parties who are interested include the American billionaire and owner of the Philadelphia 76ers. <\/span><strong data-react>joseph harris<\/strong><span data-react>    which has a stake in Crystal Palace, <\/span><span data-react>New York Jets owner Woody Johnson<\/span><span  ><svg viewbox=\"0 0 32 32\" data-react><title data-react>external link<\/title><path d=\"M12 0v5h11.5l-5 5H0v22h22V17.5l-2 2V30H2V12h14.5l-7.8 7.7 3.6 3.6L27 8.5V20h5V0H12z\" data-react><\/path><\/svg><\/span><span data-react>    and a <\/span><span data-react>Consortium based in Saudi Arabia.<\/span><span  ><svg viewbox=\"0 0 32 32\" data-react><title data-react>external link<\/title><path d=\"M12 0v5h11.5l-5 5H0v22h22V17.5l-2 2V30H2V12h14.5l-7.8 7.7 3.6 3.6L27 8.5V20h5V0H12z\" data-react><\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 >How much is the club worth?<\/h3>\n<p ><span data-react>Abramovich bought Chelsea in 2003 for 140 million pounds, but in his <\/span><span data-react>statement<\/span><span data-react>    In announcing his intention to sell, he said his property had &#8220;never been for business or money, but rather out of sheer passion for the game and the club&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p ><span data-react>He values \u200b\u200bthe club at \u00a33bn and has loaned the club \u00a31.5bn, but has said he will not ask for any loans to be repaid.  Abramovich has also said that proceeds from the sale would be donated to war victims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p ><span data-react>The proceeds from the sale could go to a charity or a frozen account.<\/span><\/p>\n<p ><span data-react>Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has said the \u00a33bn price tag &#8220;seems excessive&#8221; given the size of Stamford Bridge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p ><span data-react>&#8220;Most commentators are of the opinion that it&#8217;s not big enough to generate the money that someone would want to go through,&#8221; Maguire said.  &#8220;There is no capacity to increase Stamford Bridge given its location in London, so moving elsewhere in London would be very expensive.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-react>\n<li ><span data-react>The Sports Desk Podcast: Get out of Abramovich as the sport turns its back on Russia<\/span><\/li>\n<li ><span data-react>How Abramovich rewrote the rules on running a successful club<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 >How quickly could the sale be made?<\/h3>\n<p ><span data-react>Abramovich has owned Chelsea since 2003, with the club winning 21 trophies during his tenure.
