Here are five things to know about the coronavirus pandemic this Friday morning.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

All remaining Covid travel restrictions have been lifted for passengers entering the UK. As of 04:00 GMT, unvaccinated arrivals will no longer have to be tested – the rule had already been lifted for the vaccinated – and passenger locator forms have been scrapped. However, Britons traveling abroad are advised to check local regulations at their destination.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It’s been just over two years since the UK entered its first coronavirus lockdown, in the days after the World Health Organization declared a pandemic. With restrictions lifted in many countries, even as some countries experience record numbers of cases, our correspondents around the world offer a snapshot of how Covid is affecting lives today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When the Chinese city of Shenzhen entered a six-day lockdown on Sunday, after a massive spike in Covid-19 cases, it sent shockwaves through the world’s businesses. About half of all of China’s online retail exporters are based there, so if you’re buying something online, chances are good that it was made in the city. But, as Asia business correspondent Mariko Oi listens, British companies have found ways to minimize the impact.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After a report highlighted “an increase in the number of children with eating disorders and anxiety” as a result of the pandemic, we heard from Suffolk schools about the effects on pupils and their social skills. “A lot of kids have had problems at school and some kids’ behavior can be really difficult,” says Principal April Grimes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
