Investment firm Aethel Partners is the latest group to say it has bid for Chelsea before Friday’s deadline.<\/span><\/p>\n

Headed by Portuguese businessman Ricardo Silva, the London firm is committed to contributing 50 million pounds immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n

That will serve as bridge funding to help alleviate the financial problems facing the club and to rebuild Stamford Bridge.<\/span><\/p>\n

Several parties have already expressed interest in buying the Premier League club from Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.<\/span><\/p>\n

His attempt to sell Chelsea was halted after he was <\/span>sanctioned by the UK government<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

That move came in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and Abramovich was understood to have strong ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.<\/span><\/p>\n
